The reluctant boomer defines myself and many of my friends and acquaintences. We as a group do not want to admit that we are getting older and there is a whole new generation poised to take over a postion that we as a group have dominiated since WWII According to Wikipedia, a boomer is person born post WWII between 1946 to 1964. I personally have 4 brothers and 2 sisters and the oldest was born in 1946 and the youngest in 1962. We were all together for the first time in 3 years. The reason for the reunion was my son's wedding to the charming young lady he has been dating since college days at USC. (5 years+) My sons wedding and my youngest daughters graduation from college and entry into the work force has led me to begin my blog. I know there have got to be millions of you out there struggling with the same issues I am. I will celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary with my husband in September, I have signed a 5 year contract at the University I work at, and my 3 kids are all college graduates and in the word force. I do not want to admit that I am getting older (just better) and I am setting some new goals in my life. I hope to talk about nutrition, beauty aids, investing, physical fitness, health issues, when and where to retire. I suspect I will be adding opinions from my husband and probably my kids and our friends and their friends.
