Hot August Nights

What a week. It is blistering hot and my air conditioning went out and my water heater is leaking plus I had a swarm of termites take over my living room. I have learned more than I want to about the pesky little critters in the last few days. I was especially upset since I had the house treated last year by Jeff Hiatt Inc. Luck was on my side in that did honor the warranty. The bad part is that they cannot come out and service my house for two weeks. So when in a crisis I called good old mom. She did have some suggestions. I went to OSH and purchased some termite spray and termite spikes and set off to stop the infestation. It looks like my measures have helped for the time being. I will still have the professionals come and spray for the wood eating critters. The air conditioner was fixed today (I did not need a new one) and my hot water heater was under warranty so it was replaced for the labor costs only.
