A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

"His new novel is A Thousand Splendid Suns, a title that comes from a 17th-century poem — an ode to the city of Kabul. In it, Hosseini tells the story of two girls who grow close as women — unlikely friends who are brought together in the chaos of war. "
I so enjoyed his first book The Kite Runner. The book sat on my bookself for months before I picked it up and read it non stop. I am off for a few days of R & R and will not be taking my computer. I have not read a novel all summer and need a little respite from writing.
