Black Friday

Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States and is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season. It is an unofficial holiday due to the fact that many people have the day off. According to reports consumers were out in full force to get deals and start their Christmas shopping. I found the few stores that I visited in my community were not very busy. I am trying to support the stores in my community. It is tradition for me to decorate my house for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. I needed to refresh my candles and buy a few strands of lights for the tree. I took my mom to the local TJ Max on Friday and took advantage of the 25% off sale at Chico's. I have not shopped for my kids yet. This year I offered them a day of shopping after the holidays. They are young adults and I have no idea what to get them. So despite the ecomony tanking it looks like people are still out shopping for deals for the Christmas season. We are trying to do simple things this holiday season. We started last night by getting together for a simple dinner and playing a game called Apples and Apples. It was fun and inexpensive.
